PIONER PROTECTS YOUR PERSONAL DATA

It is important to us that you feel secure when you provide us with your personal data. Personal data include all information that can be used to identify an individual person who is alive. We implement measures to ensure we always protect your personal data in the best possible way, and that all data processing is done in compliance with applicable personal data legislation. We describe below how and why we process your personal data in our marketing activities.

FROM WHOM DO WE OBTAIN YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We collate the personal data you provide, for example, in association with you contacting us, requesting a quote, making a purchase on our website or using our digital channels.

PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

Purpose: To provide personalised marketing and sales communication. To inform participants on our courses of applicable guidelines.

What processing we perform:

  • Information and training and arrangements, plus content and news that are relevant and that we have legitimate grounds to send out to recipients.
  • Profiling and categorising in the form of «personas», based on website usage, tests and other activities that, for example, participants at information meetings.
  • Creating content that is personalised for you, based on who we evaluate your interests in relation to our services and the stage you have reached in the purchase process.
  • Targeted sales and marketing communication, based on the above information.

  • Serial number of boat purchased

  • Connection to a «persona», that reflects our assessment of your interest in our services.

Legitimate grounds: Activities that can indicate legitimate interests for processing. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Storage period: If you are entered in our system due to an activity on the website (e.g. downloading information where you have entered your contact details) and have not had any other interaction with Pioner after this first contact, your personal data will be deleted after 12 months. If you have subscribed to our newsletter, you will continue to receive this until you cancel your subscription.

WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

In association with legal disputes, we can transfer information to other parties, such as e.g. courts, counterparties and authorities. In such instances, such processing is necessary to protect our legitimate interests in determining, exercising and defending legal claims.

YOUR RIGHTS

The new personal data protection law that came into force in Norway in 2018, gives you a number of rights with regard to the processing of your personal data. We process your personal data to the extent necessary in accordance with your rights.

Right to be informed and the right to access

You have the right to ask us to conform that we process personal data linked to you, and in which case, you can demand access to the personal data we process on you,or a so-called register extract.

Right to correction

You also have the right to demand your personal data be corrected or supplemented with additional information if you think that any of the information we store, is incorrect or incomplete. You can update any of your personal data yoursefl at the Pioner Profile Centre.

Right to withdraw consent

If we have asked for your consent to process your personal data, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time with future effect. If you withdraw your consent, this means we lose the right to process the personal data we have obtained about you, based on your previous consent. You can withdraw your consent by simply clicking on the link in the email message where consent was used as the legal basis for such.

The right to object to the use of your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing.

If your personal data are processed for the purpose of direct marketing, you always have the right to object. Any email sent for this purpose will always contain a link to unsubscribe.

If you object to us processing your personal data for the purposes of direct marketing, you can also ask at the same time for Pioner not to send you general or personal offers.

The right to object to the use of your personal data based on our legitimate interests.

You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data on the legal grounds of our legitimate interests if you have personal grounds that impact this situation. We can, however, continue to process your personal data, even if you object to such processing, if we have compelling legitimate grunds for processing that outweigh your interests.

Right to delete

In individual cases, you can request personal data about you be deleted, for example if the company processes your personal data with your consent and you now wish to withdraw this consent. The right to request deletion does not apply, however, if the company is legally obliged to store this, for example.

Right to restrict processing

You can also request that we restrict the processing of your personal data. If you ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data this can mean we are unable to fulfil our obligations to you, however.

Data portability

Finally, you have the right to request a copy of your personal data in a structured format (data portability). The right to data portability, in contrast to the right to access your data, only applies to dat you personally have given us and that we process on the basis of certain types of legal requirement, for example a contract with you.
